Nutrition and food security: foundations for resilience
Published on
Why sufficient, varied food plays an essential role in community development.
Nutrition and food security are among GOD Asbl’s areas of work. They address a fundamental concern: helping vulnerable populations respond to difficulties that affect their access to food.
Our approach emphasises varied diets suited to people’s needs. It also recognises the importance of regular access to sufficient food, beyond short-term responses.
Household resilience is another focus. Strengthening families’ ability to prepare for difficult periods helps place food security within a sustainable, long-term perspective.
This area forms part of a comprehensive vision of development, alongside health, economic empowerment and environmental protection. These priorities complement one another, keeping community well-being at the centre of our commitment.
